Carlo Bettocchi is Urologist and Chief of the Centre of Urological Andrology at the Polyclinic Hospital of the University of Bari, Italy. Ridwan Shabsigh, MD is an associate professor of Urology at Columbia University and the director of The New York Center for Human Sexuality at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, USA.
He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Society of University Urologists, and is a founding member of the Society for the Study of Impotence. Dr. Shabsigh is also the recipient of several research grants to conduct studies in erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, female sexual dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease and has acted as a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials.
Under his direction, several basic science research projects are being conducted at the Columbia Urology Research Laboratory. Dr. Shabsigh has published many scientific articles and book chapters and has given numerous lectures and presentations domestically and internationally.
He is a widely published author of several articles that have appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Urology, Urology, British Journal of Urology and Contemporary Urology. Dr. David Wilkins began his career as a community worker. Prior to his present appointment David worked for 11 years in the UK’s National Health Service, for the last three years of which he held a joint academic appointment as a lecturer in health promotion. David Wilkins has worked for the MHF since 2002.
